The creation of Startup Redux was based on two words: “why not”.
With a head full of "why not", I left a well-paying job to start my own business. I was convinced at age 35 that my window to take risks was closing before I settle into my own American Dream - a corporate job, a wife, two kids, a dog, all in a suburban house with green lawns.
Several changes of plans later, I am no closer to creating the next Facebook or Uber. Making something out of nothing turned out to be more difficult than I could ever imagine. It takes more than a great idea, a versatile founder, and a pile of money to create the next successful startup; you also need a bullet-proof mentality to keep going when things get tough.
As a startup founder, I am always looking for social interaction with like-minded people, but that in itself can be challenging. The core mission of Startup Redux is to provide startup founders a place to discuss, pitch, and seek help from those who have done it before. We can all learn from other people’s successes and failures.
Browse, start a thread, make a friend, join a team, and embrace your own “why not”. I can't wait to learn from the members of Startup Redux!
